This project is focused on design and creation of urban gardens
It’s a space where citizens in the neighbourhood can be taught the processes of sustainable growth and gardening techniques for healthy & organic food. The project has a strong focus on eco-forestry sustainability led by farmer women, who traditionally do not have part on the decision making in the rural areas. It aims to elevate and empower women in their communities.
The main goal of this project is to improve the connection between humans and the planet.
They will do this by developing a eco-sustainable ¨lighthouse¨ farm – an innovation in small local farming. Creating sustainable and healthy food sources in the urban centres of Medellín is a huge step towards healthier lifestyles, women’s empowerment in entrepreneurship and overall health and wellbeing for the families directly impacted by access to sustainable produce.
